Breezily for LinkedIn
Reply to recruiters and clients with judgement.
Know what they actually want, then send a reply that keeps the door open or closes it politely.
They said: Hi Chris, just bumping this up in case it got buried.
They said: The client is moving quickly on the Head of Ops role. Free for 10 mins tomorrow?

A second nudge with some urgency attached. "Moving quickly" is their deadline, not yours. If you are not looking, one short line stops the follow-ups and keeps you on their list. If you are curious, ask for the two facts that matter first.
Thanks for following up. I'm not looking at the moment. Happy to hear from you next year.
Thanks Rob. Before a call, could you share the salary range and whether it's remote? Then I'll know if it's worth both our time.
A worked example. Replies are suggestions you can edit.

Keep a recruiter warm, not committed
Chased again? Say not now in a way that keeps you on their list. Curious? Ask for the two facts that matter.
Help a client without working free
When a client asks for a quick call that is really free consulting, help a little in writing or put it on the clock.
They said: Hi Sam! Hope all good since the rebrand wrapped.
They said: We're rethinking our pricing page and would love your eyes on it. Quick 20 min call this week?

A past client you like, asking for your expertise on a "quick call". Advice on a pricing page is the work you charge for. Decide whether this is goodwill or a small paid job before you reply.
Good to hear from you! Happy to help. A pricing page review is half a day for me, £400. Shall I send over a short quote?
Great to hear from you. Send me the link and your two biggest questions and I'll reply with a few quick thoughts. If it needs more than that we can scope it properly.
Love to. I do advice calls at £150 an hour. I can book you in for Thursday if that works.
Close the cold pitch in one line
You do not owe a templated pitch a paragraph. Get a clean no that stops the follow-ups.
They said: Hi, I help founders 10x their pipeline with done-for-you outbound.
They said: Worth a 15 min call?

A templated pitch. You owe them one line at most. Be clear so it does not turn into a follow-up sequence.
Thanks, it's not something we need.
Not a priority this quarter. Feel free to check back in January.
