Trust
Privacy and security, in plain English
You are trusting it with messages from people you care about. Here is exactly what happens to them.
What is sent when you ask for a reply
Breezily only works on what you give it. When you ask for a reply it sends that message to our server: the text you pasted or highlighted or up to four screenshots of the chat. It also sends the goal or context you typed. On the keyboards it sends any draft already in the field you are typing in.
Our server passes it to a third-party AI model provider to write the read and the replies. The result comes back to you. That is the whole trip.
What is kept and what is not
The message you give it is not stored by default. It is not used for advertising and it is not used to train models. Nothing is sold.
Some things are kept because you asked for them. If you sign in, your account holds your email, your plan and your subscription status. Saved replies are kept on your account because you wrote them to reuse. If you report a problem and tick the box to include the text, that text is stored so the problem can be looked at. The box is unticked by default.
In the extension and the apps, usage analytics are off until you agree. They count things like "a reply was inserted" and never include the words.
Chrome cannot read your pages
The Chrome extension has no content scripts. Its Chrome permissions are the side panel, the right-click menu and its own storage. It has no permission to read or change the websites you visit, so it cannot read the page you are on, your other tabs or your history.
It sees a message only when you paste it into the panel, add a screenshot or highlight it and choose Reply with Breezily from the right-click menu. Your recent runs and settings live in the browser and go when you remove the extension.
What the keyboards can see
The iPhone keyboard is in pilot and the Android keyboard is coming soon. Both read only the field you are typing in and the message you copy or share to them. Neither can read the conversation above the field or anything in another app.
Your ordinary typing is not sent anywhere. Words leave your phone only when a reply is written. On iPhone, password fields always switch to Apple's own keyboard. The details are on what Full Access means and the Android keyboard warning.
Delete your account when you like
You can use Breezily without an account. If you made one, email hello@getbreezily.com and your account and its data are deleted. Removing the extension or the app clears what is stored on that device.
Where to read the full policy
This page is the plain-English version. The privacy policy is the full text. Payments are covered there too: checkout runs on Stripe and Breezily never sees your card.
Questions
Does Breezily read my WhatsApp or Instagram chats?
No. It sees one message or up to four screenshots when you give them to Breezily. It has no way to open your chats on its own.
Is my message used to train AI?
No. The message is used to write your read and replies. It is not stored by default and it is not used to train models.
Does anyone at Breezily read my messages?
They are not stored by default, so there is nothing to read later. The exception is a problem report where you tick the box to include the text.
Do I need an account?
No. You get 3 replies without one. Adding your email gives you 5 a day. An account is also how you pay for Pro and keep saved replies that follow you.
