What the warning is telling you

When you turn on Allow Full Access for any keyboard, iOS warns that the keyboard's maker could send what you type, including things like card numbers and addresses. The warning is the same for every keyboard that asks. It describes what is possible once a keyboard has network access, not what a given keyboard does.

So the honest question is not "is the warning scary" (it is meant to be) but "what does this keyboard actually do with it". The rest of this page answers that.

Why Breezily needs it

Two reasons. First, the network: a keyboard on iPhone has no internet at all without Full Access. The read and the replies are written on our server. Second, the pasteboard: the main way to give the keyboard a message is to copy it in the chat. Reading what you copied needs Full Access too.

It also turns on key haptics. Typing itself, the predictions above the keys and the emoji page all work without Full Access.

What it sends and when

Words leave your phone only when a reply is written. Then the keyboard sends the message you copied or shared, your goal or context if you added one and any draft in the field. That is the same data the Chrome extension sends. It is not stored by default.

By default a reply starts as soon as you open the keyboard after copying a message. If you would rather it waited for you, turn off Reply when I copy a message in the app's settings.

What it does not do

It does not send your keystrokes as you type. It cannot read the conversation above the field, because iOS gives a keyboard only the field you are typing in. It does not read other apps.

In password fields iOS swaps in its own keyboard, so Breezily never sees a password. The "how I write" settings and the recent replies it keeps as examples of your voice stay on your phone and go to the server only as part of a reply request.

How to turn it off

Open Settings, then General, Keyboard and Keyboards. Tap Breezily. Switch off Allow Full Access. The keyboard keeps typing but cannot write replies. To remove it completely, tap Edit on the Keyboards list and delete it.

Questions

Can I use the keyboard without Full Access?

Yes, as a typing keyboard. Replies need the network and the pasteboard, which iOS only allows with Full Access.

Why does iOS ask "Allow Paste" every time?

iOS asks before an app reads what you copied. In Settings, open Breezily and set Paste from Other Apps to Allow so the prompt stops closing the keyboard.

Does Breezily log what I type?

No. Only the message you give it, your goal and any draft in the field are sent. Nothing goes until a reply is written.

Is the keyboard on the App Store?

Not yet. It is in a small pilot first. You can join from the iPhone page.
