Set up the Breezily keyboard on iPhone
The iPhone keyboard is in pilot. These are the steps pilot members follow, about two minutes in all.
Add the keyboard and try it
You need an iPhone on iOS 17 or newer. Pilot members get an install link by email. Join the iPhone pilot if you have not yet. iOS shows a strong warning when you allow Full Access. Read what Full Access means first.
- Install Breezily from your pilot invite and open the app once. It walks you through three short screens.
- Open Settings, then General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard and choose Breezily.
- Tap Breezily in the Keyboards list and turn on Allow Full Access. iOS shows a warning first, explained in the note above.
- Back in Settings, open Breezily and set Paste from Other Apps to Allow, so iOS stops asking every time you copy a message.
- Open a chat, copy the message you want to answer and tap the reply field. Hold the globe key and choose Breezily.
- The reply appears above the keys. Tap Use this, edit anything you like and send.
Every day after that
Copy the message, switch to the keyboard, tap Use this. Tap the reply to see why it was suggested, ask for other replies or adjust it. Hold the globe key again to switch back to your usual keyboard.
Questions
Is the keyboard on the App Store?
Not yet. It is in a small pilot first. Join the iPhone pilot and you will get an install link.
Why does it need Full Access?
Without it a keyboard on iPhone has no internet and cannot read what you copied. It sends only the message you give it. It sends it only when a reply is written.
What happens in password fields?
iOS switches to its own keyboard in password fields, so Breezily never sees them.
